ABOUT
Inspired by social movements of the past, Not in Any Neighborhood began in 2023 when a few Fort Mohave residents decided to organize and make an impact. Pretty quickly, this singular moment evolved into a full-fledged movement. Our Community Action Group challenges the status quo, holding our leaders accountable and fighting for solutions that will keep our community safe from environmental pollution.
OUR MISSION
As our name indicates, our mission is to ensure that no power generation plant is built near any residential neighborhood in Mohave county.
OUR CAMPAIGN
Not in Any Neighborhood is dedicated to the relocation of a natural gas fired power plant in Fort Mohave, Arizona. EPA states “ Fair treatment means no group of people should bear a disproportionate share of the negative environmental consequences resulting from industrial, governmental and commercial operations or policies.” Environmental Justice concluded that people living within a three-mile radius is consistent with environmental justice literature and studies, including the EJ Screening Report for the Clean Power Plan. Community involvement is crucial in helping us achieve our goals. As a growing movement, we divide our time and efforts so that we can truly invest in our cause. Read on to learn more.
